Reflections on the 2022 National Athletic Directors Conference

Reflections on the 2022 National Athletic Directors Conference

The GoFan team recently attended the 2022 National Athletic Directors Conference & Exhibit Show in Nashville, Tennessee. Hosted by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA), this premier event attracts leading athletic administrators from around the country each year.

Attendees had opportunities to network with peers, connect with innovative companies in the athletics space, hear inspiring keynote speakers, and experience two prestigious award banquets.

GoFan and the NFHS Network

This year was particularly exciting for us, as we showcased our new partnership with the NFHS Network. Earlier this year, GoFan entered into a definitive merger with PlayOn! Sports, the nation’s leading high school sports media company. PlayOn! Sports is best known for operating the NFHS Network, which provides live and on-demand streaming of high school sports and activities in all 50 states and Washington, DC. Together, GoFan and the NFHS Network provide digital ticketing and streaming services to nearly 10,000 high schools nationwide.

GoFan and the NFHS Network are there for every moment. We take pride in empowering fans to experience school events in any way possible, whether they watch in the stands or on the screen.

We’re also committed to being there for busy athletic administrators and school staff members to make life easier. Event management can be incredibly time-consuming, and we strive to transform how schools create, manage, promote, and reconcile events.

Our team has been working diligently to continue to offer new capabilities to benefit athletic administrators, bookkeepers, and other school staff members. We’re excited to share some new product updates soon that will equip our schools with even more resources to elevate the event experience with digital ticketing and streaming.

Meaningful Moments

Every year at the National Athletic Directors Conference, we welcome the unique opportunity to speak with top athletic administrators from around the country and learn more about their goals and aspirations for their programs. We had the pleasure of connecting with so many incredibly ambitious and driven leaders who want the best for their students, colleagues, and communities.

We heard from several of our happy customers who shared how digital ticketing has saved them so much time and generated more revenue for their schools. Many schools that use GoFan started out with digital ticketing for football and have since adopted digital ticketing for winter and spring sports, along with performing arts events, homecoming and prom dances, camps, and more.

Several of our schools have begun using digital ticketing in creative and unexpected ways, like parking, AP testing, ACT and SAT prep classes, field trips, self-defense classes, driver’s ed, physicals, fundraisers, and so much more. We’re thrilled to see schools expand their use of digital ticketing across campus to streamline event management and bookkeeping.

We also had a chance to meet many other athletic administrators and learn more about their most important priorities for ticketing. Some notable highlights include these capabilities:

Athletic administrators can accomplish all these initiatives and more with GoFan. We value feedback from industry leaders and ensure that our platform evolves along with our customers’ needs and expectations.

Social Hour

After networking at the conference, GoFan and the NFHS Network hosted a social hour at Tin Roof, a local venue on the iconic Broadway Street in Nashville. We had an incredible turnout and enjoyed the opportunity to continue our conversations with leading athletic administrators in a casual and fun setting.

This event was also a great way for our teams to spend more time together and reflect on a successful year. We are grateful to work with such a talented group of people who share a passion for school athletics and activities.
